See the trailer for 'The Power of Six,' the sequel to 'I Am Number Four' -- EXCLUSIVE

Last year, everyone was eager, eager, eager for I Am Number Four to become the NBT (short for Next Big Twilight). Not only was the first book in the alien-in-high-school series released with much fanfare, but it was adapted immediately into a film starring Alex Pettyfer and Dianna Agron. There’s no indication whether a Hollywood version is in the works for the sequel, The Power of Six, but the book is definitely set to hit stores on Aug. 23 and, like the first, it is written by Pittacus Lore, the nom d’espace of writer Jobie Hughes and Oprah hatchet-burier James Frey. Here’s the trailer:

I actually LIKED I am number 4. Didn’t get thet Twilight vibe from it, or else I would have hated it

I thought the movie was fun and showed potential. Hoping they get to make a sequel so they can work on ironing out the wrinkles.

The first book was good, but I don’t know if I liked it enough to care about the sequel.

i loved the movie…hurry with the sequel and next book:-)

The movie was not faithful to the novel and destroyed every bit of potential it had beforehand. A sequel would not be deserved.

The movie was not even remotely close to how amazing the book was. They did, however, show the buildings nearly perfectly- almost exactly how I pictured them whilst I was reading! I see where you’re coming from, though, and I agree- undeserving of a sequel.

The first movie definitely left it up in the air for a sequel. I hope they do one.

if they make a movie of a book BEFORE the book sequel came out the book must be good…. AND IT WAS!!!!!!

The only way there will be a petition is if there is groundswell. Fans need to SAY SOMETHING!!! Let’s get the show on the road already!

As a fan of the book, I will say the movie didn’t live up to expectations, unfortunately, and I’m not eagerly anticipating a sequel. However, this is not about the movie. This is about the book. So glad it’s almost out and can’t wait to read it. :D

I totally loved I Am Number Four, and the movie was amazing … Not just because Alex Pettyfer was in it :P

Never read the book, but “I am Number Four” was a MUCH better movie than I expected it to be. I am actually intrigued enough with the story that I really hope they make a sequel to this movie. It is much better than most of the garbage Hollywood produces these days.

Actually liked the movie more than I thought…would love to see the same fanfare as the Twilight series but at least the four had MUCH better acting. Hoping that Power of Six is also made into a movie.
