Memoirs aren’t just for people with an interesting story to tell, or for those who are old enough to have a degree of perspective on their life—no, that boat has already sailed. So I guess the fact that Bristol Palin is apparently set to write a memoir of her own shouldn’t necessarily make my brain implode in on itself like the house at the end of Poltergeist. Still, the recent creation of an Amazon page for Untitled Bristol Palin Memoir, to be published by William Morrow, does raise some questions. For example, “How much will she talk about Levi?” Or, “Can it possibly sell as well as her mother’s books?” And even, “Is continued existence worth it now that we know that something like this is possible?” Here’s hoping the memoir will answer these and many more burning queries when it comes out on June 21, the shockingly close release date mentioned on the Amazon listing. Until then, we should all just take it one day at a time.

To answer the last question, “Is continued existence worth it now that we know that something like this is possible?” …
No.
“I Am A Slut… Yellow.”
Humanity, I weep for it.
Wait, Bristol writing a book is horrible? Please, everyone has a book deal now. If the publishing industry didn’t take long hard looks at itself when the umpa lumpa Snooke came out with a book, it never will.
Don’t be hatin’ on the Snook!
Like her mom, it’s all about the money.
Hurray, by the time it’s published,I will need some more toilet paper.
LOL!
Trees need a PETA-type group to save them from being savagely butchered in order to produce the paper to print this kind of drivel…
LOL – i agree
I doubt her or her mom gives a **** about animals or trees. But I highly agree. Im no tree hugger, or Peta activist, but come on..have some shame.
“Is continued existence worth it now that we know that something like this is possible?”
That was already in doubt after the publishing industry gave us books by Megan McCain and Snooki.
At least Bristol has had to deal with something challenging at such a young age – unwed pregnancy under the glare of the public spotlight – so there might be something interesting in there.
OH GOD…being rich and a little BEEP must be so much harder than the average flusy who gets knocked up.
EW, can you read it so I don’t have to?
We at EW don’t want to read it either.
Dude she’s not even 20. What the hell is there to write about her short lived life? At least her mom has lived a little more of life, even though it was still too early for her to have a memoir published.
I think that ship sailed when both Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber published memoirs.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! A memoir? Try a diary. 20 years olds dont write memoirs, this one least of all.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking she’s written a word of this book, even as a diary. Come on, she had time to do this in the midst of her Dancing with the Stars debacle? The publisher should at least have the integrity to not call it a memoir but actually a biography and put the poor ghostwriter’s name on the thing.
Mother is a grifter. Daughter is a grifter.
I had sex. I got pregnant. A crazy old guy put my crazier mother on the ticket and lost (thank God). The end.
Perfect summary.
Why not? Beiber (sorry, too lazy to look up if that’s spelled correctly), 22 year old ex-playboy bunnies, the Situation guy, ex-girlfriends of rock stars, assitants to movie stars, aging TV/Pop stars—they all get their own autobiographies. If Bristol’s mom wants to pay for a ghost writer and a ghost reader, because no one expects Bristol to finish reading it, fine. All those people who kept her dancing from week to week will probably be interested in how she got there. It’s beyond me, but why not?
I’m young and dumb but know how to whore myself via the media because mommy showed me that there are people dumb enough to think even idiots like us are worth paying attention to.
Don’t be mad at the publisher or subject a book for handing over a small fortune to a no talent person, be mad at the person that actually buys the book. They are the ones that keep people like this going.
Well said.
yes, totally agree. be mad. be really mad. and hateful. that would help a lot. Oh yeah, and also, make it against the law for her to write it. and for anyone to publish it, and for anyone to buy it. spread hate and take away human rights. that will show…. someone.
