When news of a Demi Moore book deal hit the blogosphere in May, the actress’ rep denied the memoir rumors. Three weeks later, though, she’s changed her tune: HarperCollins announced in a press release that Moore sold them a “candid narrative” that would focus on her relationship with her mother, Virginia King, and her three daughters with Bruce Willis According to Galleycat, HarperCollins acquired the book for $2 million.
Sure, Mrs. Kutcher’s tweets may not seem promising, but her hard-scrabble childhood, rise to Hollywood royalty, nude Vanity Fair cover shoots, and high-profile relationships could make for good celeb memoir fodder. What do you think, Shelf Lifers? Will you be buying a Moore memoir in two years or not? And what part of the actress’ past are you most interested in reading?

Wouldn’t even buy it once it’s out in paperback. No interest whatsoever…
And yet you comment on it. Why?
If she would tell the truth, snickers, about her surgeries and blunders, it would be worth a read but I doubt she’d have the guts to be half as ballsy as Russell Brand or McKenzie Phillips. She’ll prob just say things like teaching Ashton Kutcher how to read and eat solid foods keeps her young in mind and body.
First twittering non-stop, now this, hmm…someone’s acting career has truly stalled and her L.A lifestyle is expensive after all.
What publishing needs now is yet another crappy ghosted celeb-tell all. Let’s be SURE no publishing advance money goes to any talented and literate unknowns.
If she was at all currently relevant in any way, I might read the dust jacket. Otherwise, no.
Most of us non-celebrities have more interesting lives and actual challenges in them than a faded star…why would we read about somebody else’s lives?
Why do these publishers keep doing this? And I guess who is reading these books?
A memoir??!! I love it when people who have done NOTHING write a book! I love it! Please skip the chapter about DOOFUS Kutcher!
She can devote half the book to all the plastic surgery she has had done.
I’m not going to buy her book but hopefully writing keeps her away from Twitterville. She’s too old for that sh**!!!
No, no and NO!
Oh Boy! Another celebrity writing a useless memoir book. Hey Demi! Come on over for coffee so I can tell you all about my childhood. Not interested? Guess what..neither are we. Go play with your doll collection
Demi Moore is my favorite actress… she gets better and better through the years. I will be first in line to purchase her book and see what she is thinking, what she feels about each of her movies and roles, and the thoughts she has within her personal life.
