Marie Lu’s epic dystopian series, which began with Legend and continued with Prodigy, comes to an end with the third installment Champion (Nov. 5). By the beginning of Champion, June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic, and now they’re on the brink of a new existence — a country at peace, with hope of reunification with the Colonies. Both are back in the good graces of the Republic: June is working within the government’s highest circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high-level military position. But just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies. War threatens the Republic’s border cities once again. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever and, as June soon discovers, the Republic’s only means of defense could cost Day everything he has.

Sneak peek at the next 'I Am Number Four' novel 'The Fall of Five' -- EXCLUSIVE

Get ready to count backwards from 9 to 5.

The Fall of Five is the fourth novel in the best-selling I Am Number Four series by Pittacus Lore. In the upcoming book (Aug. 27), the Garde are finally reunited, but do they have what it takes to win the war against the Mogadorians? John Smith — Number Four — thought that things would change once the Garde found one another. They would stop running. They would fight the Mogadorians. And they would win.

But he was wrong. After facing off with the Mogadorian ruler and almost being annihilated, the Garde know they are drastically unprepared and hopelessly outgunned. Now they’re hiding out in Nine’s Chicago penthouse, trying to figure out their next move.

The six of them are powerful, but they’re not strong enough yet to take on an entire army — even with the return of an old ally. To defeat their enemy, the Garde must master their Legacies and learn to work together as a team. More important, they’ll have to discover the truth about the Elders and their plan for the Loric survivors.

And when the Garde receive a sign from Number Five — a crop circle in the shape of a Loric symbol — they know they are so close to being reunited. But could it be a trap? Time is running out, and the only thing they know for certain is that they have to get to Five before it’s too late.

The Garde may have lost battles, but they will not lose this war.

To the Diana Gabaldon fans out there: You’ve been waiting patiently for the next Outlander novel since 2009′s An Echo in the Bone, but you’ll still have to wait until December for the eighth installment, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood. The novel will follow your favorite characters through revolutionary Philadelphia as Jamie makes a dramatic return to Claire’s side, a new army sweeps the city, and romance and violence brew. While you’re waiting, Gabaldon has taken the time to tease Written in My Own Heart’s Blood without giving anything away. See below for some intriguing answers to your most burning questions and an exclusive look at the cover — which isn’t as simple as it looks:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: The ending of the last Outlander novel thrilled some and infuriated some, and left all your fans in agony. It’s been four long years, so please assure us that there’s resolution in the beginning of Written in My Own Heart’s Blood?
DIANA GABALDON: Oh, yes. If you’re lucky, there will be quite a bit in the end, too.

What have your readers been most vocal about since An Echo in the Bone?
1. IS THERE ANOTHER BOOK!?!?
2. You left that poor little boy alone in that tunnel ALL THIS TIME?!?
3. OMG, what’s Jamie going to do to Lord John?!? What will he do to CLAIRE?!?!?
4. The next book isn’t the LAST ONE, is it?!? (No, it’s not.)

Where does the title come from?
From the rock polisher in the back of my brain. I throw Evocative, Significant, or Euphonious Words in there by the handful, let them tumble around, and now and then I pull them out to see if any of them are shiny yet.

How does this one differ from previous Outlander novels?
You notice the symbol on the cover? It’s an octothorpe. That’s because I’m juggling eight storylines here (and one of them has to do with the printing trade). The books are all different, in tone, approach, theme, shape/structure, and (of course) plot. This one is shaped like a chord progression, and the one-word theme is “Betrayal.” READ FULL STORY »

'Glee' star Chris Colfer reveals title, date, and cover of second 'Land of Stories' book -- EXCLUSIVE

Chris Colfer is used to being No. 1 on the iTunes chart as part of the Glee cast, and he shot to the top of the New York Times best-seller list with his first novel, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell. EW has learned exclusively that Book 2 will be called The Enchantress Returns, coming to you Aug. 6, and will feature the evil Enchantress who cursed Sleeping Beauty, who is back with a vengeance.

Alex and Conner Bailey have not been back to the magical Land of Stories since their adventures in The Wishing Spell ended. But one night, they learn the famed Enchantress has kidnapped their mother. Jo Nesbo's 'The Bat' gets U.S. release date -- See the exclusive new cover!

If you’re a U.S. fan of Norwegian author Jo Nesbo, we have some good news!

Nesbo’s first novel, The Bat, is going to be distributed in the U.S. for the first time as a Paperback Original on July 2. The first of three books in the Inspector Harry Hole series, The Bat tells the story of Harry Hole’s work on the Oslo Crime Squad, located in Austrtalia. When called to observe a case, Hole discovers a serial killer. The crime thriller then mixes suspense with romance when Hole stars to fall for a friend of one of the victims.

The Vintage Crime/Black Lizard publication of The Bat follows the U.S. release of Nesbo’s second book, Phantom, on Apr. 23 and the final book in the trilogy, The Redeemer, in May.

If the sound of Meryl Streep murmuring “Ahn-dre-ah!” sends delicious chills down your spine, you may be counting down the days until the release of Lauren Weisberger’s sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, the 2003 roman à clef that inspired the hit 2006 film. EW has the first look at the cover of the hotly anticipated sequel, titled Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, which isn’t out until June 4.

Revenge Wears Prada picks up eight years after former Runway magazine assistant Andrea “Andy” Sachs parted ways with Miranda Priestly on bad terms. Andy is now editing The Plunge, the hottest bridal magazine around, alongside Emily, her one-time Runway nemesis turned current BFF. While Andy is planning her own wedding to Max, a handsome media scion, she remains haunted by her impeccably heeled former boss — and the magazine world being as small as it is, it’s only a matter of time before she runs into the legendary editrix once again.

Dan Brown's 'Inferno' cover revealed -- PHOTO

This morning, Today revealed the art for Brown’s next mystery, entitled Inferno, which will see the return of serial protagonist, symbologist, and long-haired dude Robert Langdon, last seen in The Lost Symbol.

The cover art features an image of the Italian writer Dante, which is no coincidence: The book was inspired by his 14th-century poem and will take place in Italy. (Can we guess Florence? Because you can totally see Florence peeking through the cover.)

“With this new novel, I am excited to take readers on a journey deep into this mysterious realm … a landscape of codes, symbols, and more than a few secret passageways,” Brown said in a statement — and a world of symbol- and secret passageway-loving fans rejoiced.
