Former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy has been quite the prolific author these days. Hyperion announced this morning that her next book will be titled Sinner: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic. In the book, the actress (and cousin of funnylady Melissa McCarthy) will be shifting gears from her much-publicized books about autism and will take on a humorous, personal tone. The book will center on her childhood dream of becoming a nun. If you’ve seen her Playmate of the Year centerfold spread, you know those dreams never became reality.
McCarthy said of the new book: “Most young girls in my neighborhood played with Cabbage Patch dolls for fun. I played with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph dolls. I had every intention of becoming a nun someday. But hilarious events that unfolded in my upbringing made me question my future occupation and the contradictions I faced at home and at one of the most prestigious all-girl Catholic schools on the South Side of Chicago. This book tells the story of what went wrong, or, as I would put it now, what went right. Or as Hugh Hefner eventually put it, Playmate of the Year.”
Sinner is scheduled for a Fall 2012 release.
Wonder if she’ll have a humorous take on her contribution to the resurgence of whooping cough among children in California! It’ll be a laff riot!

I actually graduated from the same prestigious all-girl Catholic school on the South Side of Chicago as Ms. McCarthy. Since I have nothing but fond memories of McAuley (I was an art and theatre nerd) I truly hope she does not try to tear it down in her book.
It should be entitled: “From Unfunny Bimbo To Overrated Bimbo”
Let’s hope she doesn’t offer any more medical advice.

I have one and I wholeheartedly agree with Mike O. At least in this book, maybe she’s writing about something she knows about (she clearly knows nothing about medical science).
Let’s hope nobody else takes her “medical” advice.
There are no “prestigious” all girl high schools in the South side of Chicago!
I tried to read her book “Love, Lust and Faking It” but it was baaaaad. Like, “made Chelsea Handler look like Mark Twain” levels of baaaad.
I’m surprised she can even READ a book.
She really did the human race a diservice by promoting the insane vaccine shots cause autism garbage. Now that the intital report has been discredited and the author lost his license for unethical behavior, she should write a book called “sorry for that whole thing”. Idiot.

She claims the British researcher was set up. Anyone with a since background can tell you it was a hideously flawed study without a shred of credibility.
Get a medical degree and I’ll read your book. Until then these book companies need to stop giving her a platform. I don’t care if it’s not related to her vaccine hoax, it still keeps her around and that’s too much publicity for me.

Please God she will remember playing with her religious dolls and continue her “Recovering” Catholic theme. The media world has too many ” raised Catholic” bad examplles, time for a “raised sinner” conversion story. St Augustine who made that change with God’ grace
is still remembered, Hefner’s harem which demeans the human dignity of women will be classed with the slave–breeding stations of the old South.
