And Tango Makes Three
Starting May 3, Amazon will ship the “Kindle with Special Offers”—or a Kindle with ads—for $114, which is $25 off the regular retail price. Amazon promises that the ads won’t interfere with the reading experience—they’ll be confined to the bottom of the home page and the screen saver. Still, is $25 a small price to pay to avoid another outlet for advertisers?
Warren Ellis, whose graphic novel Red was adapted into a hit movie last year, is writing a thriller currently titled Gun Machine, planned for release in 2012. I hope it gets made into a movie just for the title alone. Gun Machine sounds like a fictional movie from Seinfeld.
A rare, valuable copy of Action Comics No. 1., stolen from actor Nicolas Cage more than a decade ago, has turned up in a Los Angeles-area storage locker. Such rare comic books can be sold upwards of $1 million, and needless to say, Cage says he would like it back. Taking the collectible to eBay would no doubt ease some of his financial woes.
Get your kids into reading by giving them a book they can sleep in.

I saw the title of this post and immediately thought of the gay penguin episode of Parks and Recreation!
I have eaxtlcy what info I want. Check, please. Wait, it\’s free? Awesome!
What they don’t tell you is that one of the penguins ditched the kid for a girl. I was so disappointed in that. I love the penguin wedding on P & R as well, planoman.
True? Can’t find the full plot online.
Dana = Lying Troll Kkuuntt
I’m sure Leslie Knope is a fan of the book.
And so did I. And that was great.
And Tango Makes Three is a great book!! Total joke that Twlight is on there for Religious viewpoint, there’s no religion in it. meyer is mormon but she doesn’t talk about it! And Hunger Games – sexually explicit??? Where??? Killings yes, sex NO!!!! Do these people even the books?????
If they do, they don’t read very thoroughly. Some parents tried to ban John Green’s Looking for Alaska because of a sexualy explicit scene, but what they didn’t get was that John was trying to contrast a purely sexual moment against a purely emotional moment. It was more a statement against casual sex than anything else. People believe what they want to believe, sadly.
Relax Rae Lynn, you shrill shrew. And you’re supposed to represent the sensible ones?
Only $25 off for unlimited ads? Yeah, no. Maybe if they were selling it for $25 for the whole thing, I might bite, but as it is there’s no way this is enough of a discount.
Ditto. $25 off is not enough of a discount for me to stomach “‘The Hunger Games’, brought to you by the Olive Garden”. I just want to read the damn book, thank you very much.
The only way I’d do it, would be if I also got a discount on the ebooks. Like, if I always got an extra dollar off, or something. But other than that, I don’t think it’s worth it.
I fcuking hate evangelicals!!!
Gay penguins … the greatest threat to heterosexual marriage EVER!
I know right? The nerve! lol People need to chill
Yes, people would much rather have 2 irresponsible parents not caring for a child. Believe me, I’ve seen enough of that…and at the library to boot. Life is about love. All that matters is that a family is caring and loving. There’s enough hatred in this world especially from people like that who voice intolerance and hatred. The exact opposite of what the book is about. Parents teaching hatred to children who don’t know hatred. Then the children grow up being hateful and teach that to their children. Vicious cycles. People suck.
Your negativity is worse than ANYTHING you describe. Hypocritical whiner.
The two penguins banned together to improve the life of the unborn baby penguin. There is nothing wrong with this story, it is true. There has always been a literary genre for books on homosexuality (Giovanni’s Room) for adults expressing the confusion and hardships society places on homosexuals. Times are changing and there is nothing wrong with teaching kids to love their neighbors no matter their sexual orientation.
I bet if these two penquins had fought each other to a bloody pulp the people who are outraged by it would have no problem with it.
I know school librarians that have lost their job because they had Tango Makes Three in their library. Really sad because it is an excellent book.
