omg I can wait for this… I just noticed something odd… dunno but notice the Love, Blood, Betrayal… Love is Jace and Clar, Blood is Maia and then when it says Betrayal is shows Izzy… is it Isabelle who’s going to be the new villain? aww hopefully not! can’t wait till the 5th!

I can’t wait for this show to start. I’m so excited. It’s based on my faorivte series of books, and the creators of the show have done such a great job of casting each role. The only casting choice I’m not thrilled about is Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, but I’m trying to withhold judgment until I see how well she handles the role. I’m surprised we didn’t see any of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the behind-the-scenes footage (unless he was in there somewhere and I just missed it).

Oh my god. How cheesy. How low budget. I’ve heard the books are good but that trailer puts me right off.

    • miss k

That’s what I thought. I love the books but this looks like a low budget fan made video on youtube.

    • leo

For all the money that the books make that they would make the series in to a film you’d think that her publishers would throw a couple of thous their way- i’ve seen fan made videos that are better!

ALL book trailers are cheesy and low budget, don’t let this put you off. get the books and enjoy them!

    • Kyleen

I agree. Disregard the trailer and go get the book, you won’t regret it.

      • Karen

        I fervently agree. Read them!

  • Jamie

She’ll always be the plagiarist from the Harry Potter fandom to me.

    • Shannon

Haha. Sucks you can’t get over that.

      • V

I’ve read both series (Harry Potter and the Mortal Instruments) and I haven’t found any plagiarism so keep your ridiculous and misplaced remarks. Keep it to yourself because no one cares. You just another person on the web. Your opinion doesn’t matter.

      • RD Smith

Clare plagiarized other fanficton works for Harry Potter fanfiction. She didn’t plagiarize Harry Potter for The Mortal Instruments.

I order City of Fallen Angels from Amazon and added the special shipping so it would arrive on the release date(April 5th) and she actually recieved it today! She is very excited to be ahead of my Kindle download by a full day since i cant download until after midnight tonight. USPS beats the Kindle download.

I love these books, but I’m worried for the movie…I’ve had ebough experience with great books that had terrible movies. Even if it’s an awesome movie, I think it kind of defeats th point of the book.

    • miss k

Then you probably shouldn’t see half the movies that come out now.

  • kris

The books were fantastic but, I’m not sure I like the look of the movie.

    • Leah

That isn’t the movie trailer – it’s the book trailer.

  • Carolyn

When I read the series, I pictured it with a bit more quality than the trailer. Please tell me this is just a “rough draft” of the actual film. The quality of these actors reminds me of the drama class in high school.

    • miss k

This is a book trailer, not a movie trailer.

    • Hilarin

Hi Donna. Thanks for stopping by. These repceis aren’t really designed to freeze- they’re more of a toss it together, stick it in the oven, and serve kind of thing. I agree with you about it being hard to find repceis for one or two people, but you definitely can in this book since almost all the entrees are designed as single packet items (you make as many as you have diners).

  • Kelly

Thank You, Thank You so much for highlighting this Series! I’ve been a fan since COB. I can’t wait for the Movie, wonder who will be cast as Jace? Keep us updated! Thanks EW!

  • kev

May i remind everyone one that this is a BOOK trailer not the actual Movie trailer. Jace hasnt even been cast yet.

  • Karen

Ummm…. So THIS is the “exclusive” book trailer?… I hardly see its exclusivity since I already saw it. It only has a two second new clip that’s part of the DSAS. I feel lied to. But I’m still super excited for the book.

    • V

No, this isn’t it. The exclusive one is on Tuesday. This is just extended cut of the “Previously in the Mortal Instruments” as Cassandra explained earlier.
