The premise sounds like one big giant cliche. Going back in time to stop the Kennedy Assasination? Wasn’t that already covered in Quantum Leap?
Pretty sure that the angle will be different in this one.
I actually do believe this is the ultimate horror book for conservatives. A book where a man goes back to the 60′s and even saves the Democratic President? AHHH!!
The topic does not matter, King’s gift is the characters.
The dude needs a better editor. Under The Dome was a doorstop with a transparently political agenda which I packaged in a one-gallon Ziploc bag with plans to leave it at the end of his driveway in Sarasota last winter (I live just up the road in St. Pete). It was three times longer than it needed to be. It sounds like this new one is another doorstop. Steve just loves to write, but needs an editor with the brass to cut his work down drastically. i’ll read this new one, but I plan on doing a lot of skimming.
I gotta get this book. Cause I was born 11 days earlier. So I feel like that period in time is a part of me. Sounds like a good book.
I agree with a lot of the comments. I’ve read all of his stuff and will continue to do so. He is a great writer and doesn’t get the kudos for it, probably because of the genre. However, I, too, was very disappointed in the end of Under the Dome. And The Stand? It’s got to be my favorite, not only for the writing but the story and that good, in the end, always triumphs. Great message.
I’m excited to see SK pen a full-blown time travel story. One of my all time favorite books is Time and Again by Jack Finney (still waiting impatiently for THAT bad boy to be released on Kindle), and if SK can make 11/23/63 anywhere as good as TAA, then I’ll be a content constant reader!
Glad to see that I am not the only one who couldn’t finish The Time Traveler’s Wife.
Yes….We WILL drop everything to watch IT when it comes on…
Almost all of his books have been about time travel one way or another, so pretty sure he will be able to nail this one too!
The wonder of travelling is the feeling of being in a different place. A change is like a relaxation course. Every one should travel to another place at least once in their lifetime.

I like your content…but I think you will like mine better.
