Bzzzzz! The word “vuvuzela” has blasted its way into the OED, along with a few other newly recognized terms.

Renowned literary critic Frank Kermode has died at age 90.

    Books used to have ads all the time. Harlan Ellison once mailed a publisher a dead gopher for putting cigarette ads in his books.

    I remember looking at my Mom’s old Dr. Spock book: it had ads in it and it was from the 60′s (Since she bought it for my brother it was weird to see what the Mad Men era came up to show for the proper housewife).
