Image Credit: Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic.comDemi Moore has been meeting with book publishers about the possibility of writing something, People reports. But the actress’ rep insists that any Moore-penned title will not be a memoir, disappointing news to those of us hoping to get the inside dish on her private life, including her marriages to Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.
So now the real question is what kind of book would it be? I guess it could be one of those New Age-y, less-deep-than-Deepak, self-help titles that the rich and famous seem to like to write. Or maybe a fitness guide for those who want to maintain a Striptease-level body in their late 40s. But I’m really rooting for an epic, thousand-page fantasy saga, set in a magical land called Moore-itania ruled by a mythological hierarchy of deities called “Demi-Gods.” I know it’s a stretch, but it could happen. What do you think, Shelf-Lifers? Any type of book you’d like to see from the star of Ghost and A Few Good Men?

Err…No.
NO.
Definitely no.
What kind of book? How to Diaper by baby husband.
Didn’t Demi Moore once defend the ridiculous “happy ending” of her version of “The Scarlet Letter” by saying that it didn’t matter because hardly anyone had ever read the book? And now this woman wants to write a book herself? How ironic. I hope her endeavors are accorded the same amount of respect she gave Nathaniel Hawthorne.
A workout cookbook. Or some sort of lifestyle tome. Demi-Style. Demi Does It All! She wouldn’t want Demimonde or Demiworld, or DemiReps although it wuld be funny, in an old-world academic sort of way–which is so not Demi. She has to be careful with that name.
I like that the article states that she is meeting with publishers to discuss the possibility of writing “something,” as if she woke up one day and decided to become a writer without giving any thought to what, exactly, she would write.
like Stephenie meyer?
Demi Moore? How about Demi less? Yeah, buddy! Welcome to the groanzone, baby!
How about a re-imagining of “The Great Gatsby” or “Beloved” or, I know…”The Road” in which Demi changes the ending and the protagonist awakens from a terrible dream and says to his wife (played by Demi in the movie adaptation of course) Wow, did I have one crazy assed dream! Maybe Demi could write a fictional novel about an actress who exits Hollywood before her career tanks and then goes on to marry a much younger guy and lives happily ever after?.
“I want to write something that, like, really reflects who I am, and says something really important about, like, stuff.”
Oh, yeah, I’m lookin’ forward to that.
She absolutely should NOT talk about her marriages. People just want the dirt on her marriage to Bruce Willis. For the sake of her children she should keep a very tight lid on the details of what did, or did not occur with Willis. They have managed to maintain a united front for the sake of those girls; they need to continue that. What should the book be about? Well, whatever she is doing it is working for her. She looks better now than she did 20 years ago. Some people claim she has had plastic surgery. Maybe she could talk honestly about what she has done to keep herself looking good and why she made the choices she did. She could also write about aging in Hollywood, which is not an easy thing to do. She probably could write numerous chapters on why so many women dislike her image and why there is so much venom aimed at her. I would read it for that alone. I can’t believe how many women don’t like her and for some of the silliest reasons. I have heard some of the stupidest comments when it concerns Demi Moore. I even heard a gossip columnist say that the reason her films stopped making money was because female audience members didn’t ‘trust’ her. What? They don’t know this woman personally. Whatever she writes about I’m sure there will be sufficient controversy and naysayers.
I think that Demi should write about where she is now in her life. She should focus on happiness, love, peace of mind, what she wants for her children and the future of her career. I have always been a fan, especially GHOST, A FEW GOOD MEN and STRIPTEASE. Demi is very alluring and seductive. She still maintains her beauty. She has knock out eyes.
her training regimen for GI Jane or strip tease would be great!
Yes. I’m fat and shallow
“…meeting with book publishers about the possibility of writing something…” How disgusting and disheartning to writers who dont take it as a hobby and have to actually write the book before they get to talk to publishers – what would Moore think if someone in the publishing industry dropped in on a casting director to discuss “the possibility of acting in something”.
