I’m so excited to see this!!
JK Eowling is an amazing writer and will definitely come up with something breathtakingly original, deep, rich, and another fascinating world!
Whether it’s HPWORLD or not- I’m going to go buy it, without a doubt!
I love the Harry Potter books but I think their conclusion should remain the conclusion and I’d rather want to discover what else (aka non Potterworld-related) J.K.Rowling can come up with.
She could also write a completely original character living in the HP world. Someone with a shop on Diagon Alley. Someone in one of the Ministry departments. The possibilities are endless.
Nothing equals the majesty of the Twilight books! Go Jacob or whatever your name is!

-i went to a dinner that she was at, and she was saying that she was always interested in exploring the other schools. so perhaps the story of viktor krum? he would be similar to harry-famous and infamous, but still just a schoolboy-and he would eventually come to hogwarts and into contact with harry, hermionie, and ron, but it would be a totally different kind of story. we have no idea what’s going on in bulgaria.
I think that would be great; it would be really interesting to read about the other schools.

Celia ans Wil – your smug comments re: Americans – nothing would support your supposed spot-on analysis of American intelligence and the reason for changing the title. It has to do with tastes and culture..(aka – Marketing) and in as much stated, in every category of importance, American’s out perform their British counterparts. Hate is the new cool is seems for Brits.
Now I’m not British or American but your statement is outrageous: In every category of importance Americans outperform their British counterparts? Incredible stupidity seems to be the new cool for Americans. Oh wait, thats not really new for them at all is it?
Whether she writes about the Potterverse or somethings else entirely it wont matter to her fans. However i’d love to see any of the following:
hogwarts: a history
a history of magic
anything by Lockhart

I would love it she wrote something similar to the Millenium trilogy. Obviously very different, but on that same level. She’s got such a talent for writing mystery and stories with unexpected twists and turns. If she wrote a mystery or a detective novel, I know it would be fascinating.

I hope she does! I always wished she’d put something else out there like that. She’s a good author; HP will never be beaten, but I would love to read other books by her.
See, I would agree with some of you and say I hope she steers clear of the Harry Potter world altogether…it would seem kind of stupid to just create a new character, since every character she introduced was given some sort of backstory in the series already. So I hope that she writes other things, and that the last Potter addition we get is the Scottish Book.
I think JK Rowling should do a series on the Marauders. There is a ton of interest and fanfiction, it would have a lot of potential, and not to mention they were my favorite part of the series. I think that would be the best choice.
