When it comes to “The Twilight Saga”, I have a pretty defensive opinion. I read the books way before it even became popular. I hate the fact that vampires have become a popular thing. Watching little girls running around with shirts that have Edwards face on them makes me sick. I think that Stephenie should write Midnight Sun & possible even a book about Edward, Bella, & Renesmee.

Maybe you “haters” of the Twilight Saga should write your own books so we can comment on them. BTW if you hate these books so much why are you taking the time to read the blogs?

I stumbled across this site looking for a review and have read the comments on Stephanie Meyer with a cross between amusement and distain. Since the beginning of time there have been people who succeed and people who sit back and put down those successful people – nothing new here. Whether it is art critics or arm-chair quarterbacks, its all the same. I’m a 45 year old wife, mother and attorney; and, while I may not find the Twilight Series particularly riveting, I can appreciate the ability of Ms. Meyer to capture the attention of literally millions of young people (and quite a few old), many of these young people having never read a word outside of a classroom. Good for you Stephanie and shame on you ridiculous folks who can only appreciate your narrow views and that which you find “worthy”.

I think “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” would be a good read. It’s even better that some of the money goes to the Red Cross. The original Twilight series was OK. I mean has anyone else but me noticed that the only thing Edward admits he likes about Bella is that she Smells appetizing? I think not reading about Bella and Edward discussing how she smells good and listening (excuse me reading) to Bella’s self centered thoughts would be nice for a change. Though Twilight Saga is not my favorite I have to applause Stephanie for writing a book that appeals to teenage girls. Maybe that got them from their make-up kits and actually put something in their brains outside a classroom. I totally agree with Lisa.

I just got the book, but had a bad feeling about it when i learned what it was supposed to be about. I was hoping I would be a little suprised, but to my disappointment…it had no happy surprise! Who really cares about this tragic character, who is nothing like the vampires we love??? If she was unhappy about how Midnight Sun was released, why didn’t she pick another character like Alice, Carlisle or Jacob to write from. At least someone with some insight into the center of the Twilight world??? Another idea would have been to do a novella about post-Breaking Dawn…

Anyway–I hate I spent money on this…and I’m not sure if I want to read her other book “Host” either.

    My 2 cents!!!
