It kind of sounds like a cross between Percy Jackson and Twilight. And while I actually like reading the Percy Jackson series (lots of girls do, because it’s a uni-sex series I think), I’m afraid that maybe this series will be too gooshy and mushy for its own good. That’s why sometimes it’s best if male authors write on certain subjects, because they don’t go into such detail on matters like those in books as some female authors tend to do. Let’s see how it turns out. I just hope that it doesn’t give Greek Mythology a bad name…

I think this sounds interesting to be honest and if I can find it when it comes out I’ll read it. But on a serious note people need to stop comparing everything to Twilight and Harry Potter because there are so many YA novels that come out each year and the likelihood of them having the same commercial success as the two aforementioned series is slim to none. People need to review and read books based on that books merits and the merits of the writer not how well it does in comparison to the few major commercial hits.

I am not saying nonsense. This is awesome information. I have already came to similar conclusion. It is a real eye opener and may prompt me to make some serious changes to my current strategies.

I love it! I often think children’s books are thhougt of as “lesser” than adult books and I couldn’t disagree more. And, even if they were here’s to a good kiddie read any day! Thanks for sharing![]
