I can’t adjust to this. Robert Parker gone. Best author in the world. There will never be another like him.

without spenser our lives will really change. so long ol’ pal
I just found out Robert Parker died last winter. I am so sad. I really loved reading his book. I started a collection of his books and hope one day to have all the Spenser books in hardcover. My condolences and prayers go out to his wife, sons, and family and friends. He will be missed but forever remembered. Millions will be able to enjoy his books and his legacy will endure.
When I heard he died I didnt believe it at first. I didnt want to believe it because I love his stories. I will miss him greatly.
After finishing John D. MacDonald it was a pleasure to pick up Robert Parker.
Please DO NOT find another writer to finish books he was working on.
Travis never died let’s leave Spenser for the ages.
I was so sorry to just learn about my favorite author’s passing. I have read every one of Robert B. Parker’s fantastic books and I will miss spending time enjoying the adventures of all his special characters. I am so sorry and send my condolences to Joan, his family and friends.
I was so very sorry to learn about the death of my favorite author! I have read every one of Robert B. Parker’s books and I will miss him and the escapes I found in his wonderful books. I am now reading, sadly, one of his last books…Blue-eyed devil which he once again dedicated to his wife, Joan. She, his family and friends have my sincerest sympathy. I am so very sorry for their loss – and mine as a very big fan of his.
We’ll miss Parker, the master of the four to six page chapter. Maybe Joan will write Spenser and bring back the “Grey Man”
Good news Parker fans. Curtis J Hopfenbeck (www . curtisjhopfenbeck . com) just wrote The Liquid City and it is just as good as the critics said it would be. He even dedicates the book to Mr Parker which I thought was very classy and touching. Tough, funny, and intelligent, just like Parker. If you liked Spenser, you’ll absolutely love Shadoe! The Liquid City is the best book of 2010. 5 stars and two thumbs up!
I just read Liquid City by Curtis J Hopfenbeck after it’s great review in the NY Times. I thought I would have to live forever without another Spenser/Parker, but he is excellent. I hate getting on a plane or sitting poolside without the latest Parker novel, but Curtis J. Hopfenbeck does a great job of carrying on the tradition of the tough, funny, but lethal intellectual. I think he even dedicates his book to Parker and lists him as his main influence. The legend lives on!
I’ve been reading Robert B Parker novels for many years and have read most of his books will sorely miss this very great writer
I have truly lost a family member. The way he left us was the way that he lived. Without compromise. He did not go gentle into that good night…
2010 was a year of re-reading all the Parker books in his honor and to my undiminished pleasure.to his beloved family, thank you for loving him.
Sad to see him go, His books were mental therapy for me: i read all
of his books, and most twice. Be nice to see a photo gallery of his life; about a stranger I know so well through his books but don’t!
