Dominick Dunne was an amazing writer.
He knew how to tell a story that enraptured readers from the first page. I think all the trials and tribulations of his own life helped shape him into a man who didn’t feel he needed to edit himself to belong in the inner circle of hollywood. That honesty gave way to his best writing.
I am sad to see this champion for the victims ( Himself and his family included)go. But at 83 he had a good long run, taught many people compassion, was an amazing father and I am sure a good friend. What a legacy to leave behind.
@Bill Morgan – your comment was snide and unnecessary. To call someone you don’t agree with politically unpatriotic or not hard working is ridiculous. Mr. Dunne was a wonderful, original writer. Sen. Kennedy was a flawed person who worked hard for the country he loved all his life. Your post just makes you look like a very small, mean spirited person.
I agree Claudia. It seems like lately people can’t just disagree with someone politically without accusing them of being unpatriotic or worse. It seems like public discourse has turned into shouting matches where adults sink to the level of spoiled children.
Dominick’s “Power,Privilege & Justice” is currently airing new episodes on TruTV. I really hope TruTV doesn’t yank them out of sensitivity, as I think Dominick would really want his work to air!
