Here’s a first look at the cover of Tempted, the sixth installment in the best-selling House of Night series by mother-daughter writing team P.C. and Kristin Cast. The novel will hit bookstores on October 27, and publisher St. Martin’s already plans to print over a million copies (a number that will likely go up). We talked to both the Casts yesterday, who offered some exclusive tidbits about what fans can expect in this latest installment.
Tell us what’s different about this book.
KC: The main thing is we’ve gone from having not just Zooey’s point of view, but we have Aphrodite’s, Stevie Ray’s, an Heath’s, and there’s another character, too…
PC: We can’t tell you who that is. We’d have to kill you.
Why do it?
KC: Because we’re going to have a spin-off series following Stevie, so it’s kind of a way to lead into that.
In terms of plot, is there anything that’s going to be drastically different?
KC: Well, I think our readers need to get out their boxes of Kleenex out again. There were three points in it that I cried.
Is it romance, or is there a death?
KC: There is a death.
Is it a major character?
KC: Yes.
PCC: Not “dead, come back” death. Death.

A main character?! I’m going to assume that it isn’t Zooey, if they’re doing a spinoff. Perhaps one of her boys?
lol heath is annoying and erik i stopped liking after the last book and she does have 2 many guys might as well kill one off
I think that Zoey’s grandma is going to die. I don’t know why, I just have a feeling that it’s going to be her. And I really don’t want her to die. So hopefully it’s like Zoey’s ex-bestfriend Kayla.
okay, i really like the house of night series, i’m a total vapmire freak. But really, the publishers change Zoey’s tattoos on every cover and it makes me angry. CHOOSE ONE ALREADY!!! P.S. i think the ones from untaimed’s cover looks the best.

I think it’s going to be one of Zooey’s significant others or her grandmother. The loss of her grandmother would be devastating, since she’s the only person in her family that loves her simply for being who she is. I’m not sure how I feel about a Stevie spin-off. If I had to read a book from her perspective, I think I’d pass. Just reading her conversations with others, I’m not sure I could take reading from her perspective.

I love all the book but erick and heath were getting on my nerve. I think both should die off. Zoey grandmother is the best she should stay. Idc I just want the book to come out already!!!
yah i have a feeling that it might be health or grandma but yeah tired of health a bit as well i mean could you not just move on already your part of her old life but i want to say this;i think this should happen;i think zoey should pick stark(team stark!!)and then erik would see them kissing and laughing in tha hall-or something like that- take a fit and punched stark they start fighting and zoey breaks it up using the elements.i have more but i think i could be writing my own story!!lol!! bubbles out!
I agree Heath or Erik should leave. I love the boy drama, but enough is enough! I have a feeling about Stark though and i really want her to end up with him. He is just so mysterious and hot. I really don’t want Z to die, because that wound just be a horrible ending. So lets hope its Heath.

Hello people? If there is a spin-off of Stevie, it would be because there is nothing left to write about in this series….Zoey dies. Aphrodities visions tell her not to go to Kalona but also tell her to go to him…its a lose lose situation.
I don’t think it’ll be Zoey. Because they said a ’spin-off’ series. Which is different than continuing the series from someone else perspective.
I think it’ll be one of the boys. Please let it be Heath or Erik. I am so sick of them.
Or it’ll be Zoey’s grandma. That would be so terrible. But it might make Zoey stronger and more independent. Maybe that’s how she’ll gather the strength to kill Kalona.
Who knows. I can’t wait to find out.

I really hope Zoey doesn’t die and why a spinoff with Stevie rae I like her and all but Zoey’s cool I can actualy relate to her.And I wonder who this new character is.
I soo agree with Carly McNulty! Untamed’s tattoos were awesome and they should seriously stop changing them!
As for who dies, I’m hoping it’s either Heath or Erik! In complete agreement with bubbles, she should go with Stark (omg he sounds sooo hot and, come on, who doesn’t love an archer?) Team Stark alltheway!
and if Stark dies, I don’t think I’ll be able to continue reading :’(
If its a major character that’s going to die. and since i know for a fact that it is stark in the front and heath in the background. i am guessing Eric might be the one to die.
all i know is that she better end up with stark. even when she barely knew him he was different from heath or erik. they clicked. plus heath has been through enough pain caused by zoey so (for his sake) he should be the one to die. it’s not his fault he’s in love with Z. they had that blood link thing.
i think that someone like the twins, Damien or maybe jake i mean the guys are two easy but i would get the grandma thing she was sick the hole tine in hunted. and i don’t think there will be a new person they just said there was another persons point of view like maybe darious the son of embrois guy that is like in love with aphrodite. but i really hope zoey and stark get to gether i mean come on heath is human(with the makings of a stalker) and Eric already had his chance!
I totaly love erik from allmy heart but he is a lot annoying and comteoling and stuff so if he died I would b sad but I would b kinda happy it would not b stark who would die than I like realy love him so much but I would totaly like heth to die cauce I totaly do not like him so ya I would b kinda thrilled with that but I would also kinda like z’s grandma to die I don’t really think I like her but I just want the darn book to come out already so ya

A guy dying would be nice in a way just because there is too much guy drama…but it probably won’t be. I think it’ll be Zoey’s grandmother or someone else less obvious. The cover looks amazing. Can’t wait to read it!

THAT THERE ARE MORE RED FLEDINGZ WHO HAVENT FOUND THERE HUMANITY AND STEVIE IS KEEPING THEM HIDDIN SO ZOEY DOESNT FIND OUT N TRY TO KILL THEN OR SUMTHIN. BUT WHATEVER HAPPENZ WIT THE SERIES IM GOING TO READ THEM ALL.. ALSO I HEARD THERE WAZ GOIN TO BE A HOUSE OF NIGHT MOVIE BASED ON THE BOOKS LIKE THEY DID WIT TWILIGHT&HARRY POTTER. I WOULD LOVE TO C HON ON THE BIG SCREEN SO I HOPE THIS IS TRUE AND NOT A RUMOR!!
